Abstract
RATIONALE: Reduced HDAC2 expression and activity is reported to correlate with corticosteroid resistance (CR). Recently we demonstrated a significant increase in HDAC2 mRNA expression following inhibition of dominant negative GCR isoform GCR-beta by siRNA in BAL cells from asthmatics. The molecular role of GCR-beta in HDAC2-mediated CR is unknown.
