Abstract
For multi-output systems, necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the maximal (A, B) -invariant subspace in the nullspace of C to be given by a generalization of the expression that holds in the single-output case. Some sufficient conditions are also given. These results are applied to extend to the multi-output case the result of Falb and Wolovich (1967) for Morgan's decoupling problem (1964).
