Representation of Particle Size Distributions in Practice

Abstract

To describe the effectiveness of chemical or physical processes, it is often profitable for the engineer to know the exact particle size distribution of his product. Although measurements are performed by efficient/suitable techniques, the representation of the results is often inadequate. In this paper an attempt is made at developing an exact and practically oriented representation of particle size distributions limited to the most important aspects.
