Abstract

The article discusses creative approaches to the representation of the images of the works of the Ural writer and playwright D. N. MaminSibiryak in the screen culture of the XX–XXI centuries. The relevance of the research topic, according to the author, is due not only to scientific interest in the specifics of screen (audiovisual) culture and, accordingly, to the problems of screening classics, but also to the topicality of the works of MaminSibiryak themselves, which reflected the formation of capitalism in the Urals and the clash of various public interests. Considering creative approaches to the screen representation of the writer’s images, the author proceeds from the fact that his works are realistic, distinguished by a variety of characters, combine the epic and dramatic principles, thereby opening up a wide field for research.
