Abstract

The Fifteenth General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics was held in Moscow, USSR, August 2–14, 1971, at the Moscow State University. Following a magnificent ceremony at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, which included a concert and ballet, the Assembly began focusing on interdisciplinary symposia described in each of the Association's reports that follow. Meetings of the IUGG Council were held, the results of these meetings are reported below. At the closing plenary session held at the Moscow State University, 21 resolutions were passed by the delegates present. These resolutions are given at the end of this General Report.
