Abstract

Phaeophila dendroides (Crouan) Batters is reported here for the first time from North India from Chilka Lake. While the species is known as an endophyte in several marine algae belonging to Chlorophyta and Rhodophyta and a few marine Spermatophyta, it is reported here for the first time in a Phaeophyta in Roservingea intricata (J. Ag.) Boergs. The endophyte from Chilka Lake is described in some detail.
