Abstract

The 2017 1st International Workshop on Context-aware, Autonomous and Smart Architectures (CASA 2017) was held in conjunction with the 11th European Conference on Software Architecture (ECSA 2017), on September, 12th, 2017 in Canterbury, United Kingdom. The goal of this one-day workshop was to bring together researchers and practitioners from academic environment and from the industry to share their solutions, ideas, visions, and doubts in the design of software architectures for context-aware, autonomous, and smart solutions. The workshop focused on architectural aspects offering a complementary vision of such solutions with respect to the available application- and user-oriented perspectives on context-awareness, autonomy, and smartness. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to enable discussions, partnerships, and collaborations among the software engineers interested in these solutions
