Abstract

The field of park planning and management in Philadelphia is undergoing major review city wide in the 1980,s. A number of forces are evident in influencing new directions for the future of the city parks. The changing structure of park financing is increasing the needs of park users for an enhanced relationship with the park administration and with civic organizations that can unite their power and facilitate forward movement. Thus, education of community leaders and how they are taught to identify the driving and restraining forces that enhance or bar the way to further programs is critical in determining the quality and cost effectiveness of park management.KeywordsCommunity LeaderCollaborative ModelAction Research ProjectDrug DealingCivic OrganizationThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
