Abstract

Describes the case of a 18 yr old male suffering from lyssophobia, following a dog bite at the age of 12 yrs. The S developed amnesia followed by convulsions and hydrophobic-like symptoms. In addition, he experienced a fear of water and occasionally became excited. Family history, personal data and the development of hysterical symptoms were studied.
