Report finds nearly 30% increase in firearm fatalities for children, teens

Abstract

Fatalities caused by firearms were up 13.5% for all Americans in 2020, but firearm fatalities were up in children and teens up the age of 19 were up 29.5% in 2020 from 2019. That finding comes from research recently published by the New England Journal of Medicine.
