Abstract

Observing the need for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline to achieve its full potential, RAND Corporation researchers this month released a new report that examines three jurisdictions that have established models of 988/911 interoperability — a process for identifying calls that are a good fit for transfer. A collaboration among relevant stakeholders should be at the table to ensure the right level of care from the right type of service organization, according to the lead author of the report.
