Abstract
Dr Liu and colleagues have offered 3 comments on our recent publication “Development of the Comprehensive Pain Assessment Tool Short Form for Chronic Pancreatitis: Validity and Reliability Testing” and have sought clarification. Their comments have little scientific merit but do provide an opportunity to reinforce the importance of developing a reliable and valid tool for pain assessment in patients with chronic pancreatitis that captures the important and independent dimensions of pain.
