Abstract
Highlights from the article: Higgins' (2019) commentary is a welcomed contribution to the Australian positive behaviour support literature. Only with a definition of positive behaviour support that is relevant across all service sectors will positive behaviour support be able to systemically promote itself and be included in policy (Hayward, Poed, & McKay-Brown, [6]). This development is exactly what positive behaviour support needs if it is to survive in service contexts currently dominated by notions that simply writing a behaviour support plan will improve outcomes for service users.
