Abstract

An article by Chen et al. criticizes the generalized criterion for controlled fusion. Chen et al. claim to have found errors in the physics in the generalized criterion. We show that these ’’errors’’ are only differences in philosophy about how to account for loss-suppression mechanisms. Many of the conclusions of the generalized criterion, called ’’incorrect’’ by Chen et al., have been published separately by independent workers.
