Abstract

We thank Wong and associates for their correspondence on our manuscript exploring the effect of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) on absolute risk of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC). The correspondence highlights the many ophthalmic and systemic associations with OSA and the significant impact OSA has on population morbidity and mortality. Successful reversal of the neurohumoral and biochemical expressions in comorbid cardiovascular disease has been observed with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment of associated OSA, thus underscoring that early detection and treatment of OSA is critical.
