Abstract

We study the self-flattening surface of the restricted curvature model in one and two dimensions. The values of the roughness exponent are close to but slightly less than the prediction $\ensuremath{\alpha}=D{\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{0}/(D+{\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{0})$ of the preceding Comment where ${\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{0}$ is the roughness exponent measured from the surface width W in the restricted curvature model and D is the dimension of the substrate. A possible explanation of the small discrepancy is discussed.
