Abstract

The current-voltage characteristics of tunneling junctions involving high-${T}_{c}$ superconductors depend on a number of factors. Surface bound states with nonzero energy is just one such factor, which can be readily included within our model as we discussed in an earlier publication. However, this factor was not addressed in our recent publication in order to focus on other factors such as strong coupling which we believe have not received adequate attention.
