Abstract

Some errors in the numerical values given in our earlier paper [Physica Scripta 35, 645 (1987)] are corrected, but this does not alter our conclusion regarding the relative reliabilities of the quasirelativistic (QR) approaches considered. It is pointed out that expansion of the QRI approach to a fully relativistic (R) approach is readily done and the R approach requires only about 15% more computing time for calculations of structure, oscillator strengths and collision strengths. Thus, except for low and moderate Z, it appears that the R approach rather than any QR approach should be used.
