Abstract
We were pleased by the interest in our work shown by Bhattacharya and Hazra. Their discussion focuses on our interpretation of horizontal‐loop EM data (our Figure 20). We are aware that interpretation diagrams obtained from scale modeling in free air are not adequate in complex geologic situations. We will briefly summarize the conditions described in case history 4; a conductor embedded in a poorly conductive host rock (amphibolite, [Formula: see text]), covered by a conductive weathered layer [Formula: see text].
