Abstract
Mr. Sendlein’s discussion suggests two errors in the author’s paper. These were errors in the plotting of the data and not in the data itself. In reply to Mr. Sendlein, the following three items will be discussed: 1. The method of determination of velocities from the time distance curve; 2. Reliability of velocities determined; and 3. The interpretation of the time‐distance curve for station 87+00.
