Abstract

We have replanted 11 digits and two hands, with only one failure (a digit). Eight free groin flaps and one free dorsalis pedis flap transfer were performed, resulting in 5 complete survivals, two partial necroses, one superficial necrosis, and one failure. One hallux-to-thumb transfer was done, with a good result. We note the essential differences between doing replantations and free flap transfers.
