Abstract

ABSTRACT Patients presenting with ST-elevation in myocardial infarction (STEMI) have transmural ischemia and require early reperfusion therapy. However, in about half of the patients with such ischemia, ST elevations are not seen on an electrocardiogram (ECG). Such STEMI equivalent ECGs need to be evaluated and reperfusion done at the earliest to salvage the jeopardized myocardium.
