Abstract

Objective To summarize the clinical experience of repair of congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia under lapaoroscopy. Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 10 infants with congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia treated under laparoscopy. And summarize the surgical experience. Results The repairs were successful it1 all infants. The operation time was 90-150 minutes; bleeding volume was 2-3 ml. 1 newborn postoperatively died of respiratory failure. Recurrence occurred in 1 newborn. The infants were fed 3-4 days after the surgery. A 3-6 months' follow-up showed no complication or recurrence. Conclusions Repair of congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia under laparoscopy in infants is safe and feasible. Key words: Laparoscopy; Congenital posterolateral diaphragmatic hernia
