Abstract

We report on neutron scattering studies from proximity effects of neighbouring vanadiumlayers on spin-density waves in epitaxial Cr(001) films. We provide direct evidence forlong-range effects from the V/Cr interface leading to changes in the polarization andpropagation direction of the spin-density waves in rather thick Cr films. The Néeltemperature is found to be affected by boundary conditions for the spin-density waves atV/Cr interfaces.
