Abstract
Advanced educational media, such as radio, television and film, have for many years been used in most parts of the world but it is difficult to say what the real impact has been of these media. From the USA is reported the most comprehensive study ever made on this matter in the report by the Commission on Instructional Technology, entitled ‘To improve learning’, R. R. Bowker, Com. N.Y. and London 1970. This report is not very encouraging. Not more than 5 per cent of the total time that students spend in school involves the use of any instructional aid.
