Abstract

The Hubbard model in two dimensions is studied using a recently proposed renormalisation group method for fermion systems. The author finds that there are no phase transitions in the model and that the ground state is ordered antiferromagnetically. The author also discusses the use of group theory in the renormalisation for large cells.
