Abstract

AbstractRenewal theory is used to derive the stationary distribution of inventory present at a stocking point characterized by stationary compound Poisson demand, independent and generally distributed lead times, impatient customers, and the use of a two‐bin ordering rule. Inventory‐associated costs are evaluated, and a numerical example is given.
