Abstract

This paper discusses GRIDCo's generator connection procedures and requirements. It provides adequate guidance to the prospective generator connection applicant proposing to connect its generator to the National Interconnected Transmission System (NITS) and allay uncertainties in the connection process. Typical means of connecting generating facilities to the NITS have been illustrated. Identification of the applicable connection facilities, network upgrades and allocation of the associated costs responsibilities to implement these facilities and power system upgrades have also been discussed.
