Abstract
This book adds to a number of previous publications concerned with sedimentation in rift basins. It contains 19 individual papers together with a brief introduction to the volume, and is split into three main themes: (1) Volcanic, Tectonic and Hydrological Controls; (2) Fluvial and Alluvial Depositional Systems; and (3) Lacustrine, Spring and Wetland Depositional Systems. The first section contains a variety of papers. The first three are concerned with large-scale, predominantly structural aspects of rift development.
