Abstract

Mike Nellis argues that while 'Community Punishment and Rehabilitation Service' can be opposed on numerous levels, the name 'Probation Service' has also outlived its usefulness. He makes the case for the 'Community Justice Service', reasoning that such a title is not only more accurate, but that it can meet the needs of both probation staff and the Home Office.
