Abstract

Abstract In summary, it is apparent that the renal sodium retention in patients with advanced liver disease constitutes a complex pathophysiologic constellation with numerous and diverse causes. In this article, I have brieftly reviewed the clinical features and pathophysiology of renal sodium retention in liver disease. Based on these pathophysiologic considerations, I have proposed an approach to the therapy of this renal derangement.
