Abstract
Micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises are the engine of the Polish economy. They are the main source of employment, arouse entrepreneurial spirit and innova¬tion, and they are essential to increase competitiveness and employment. The aim of this article is to analyze selected data, among others. the level of remuneration and employment in microen¬terprises in Poland and the comparison of wages in micro-entities with average remuneration in the national economy, in the EU and in the USA in 2014-2016. The purpose of the work was sub¬ordinated to the individual parts, in which the essence of the micro enterprise and its importance to the economy were presented, and data on the number of micro-entities, their salaries and their level of employment were presented against the background of selected years.
