Abstract

Abstract A comparison of linear and non-linear regression method to find the best fitting isotherm studied using the experimental data for adsorption of Eriochrom Black T on the Al2O3 surface. So three error function used: Standard Deviation, Sum of the squares of the error, and Root mean square error. The error values suggest that the non-linear method is an appropriate method to describe the adsorption of the Eriochrom Black T on the Al2O3 surface. The results showed that Langmuir isotherm was the best isotherm to describe the adsorption process. The thermodynamic parameters appeared that the process was spontaneous and endothermic under the studied conditions.
