Abstract

Abstract Background: A challenging case of removal of a Chinese contraceptive device is presented. Case: A 41-year-old nulliparous Chinese woman presented to Ipswich Hospital for removal of an intrauterine device (IUD), inserted in 1998. Conclusions: Rapidly changing patient profiles mean that many practicing gynecologists may encounter a similar situation. (J GYNECOL SURG 28:312)
