Abstract

An aphasia-friendly Canadian Occupational Performance Measure has been developed for routine clinical use. Use of the aphasia-friendly Canadian Occupational Performance Measure in a community neurological rehabilitation setting indicates that a person with aphasia was able to identify individual goals and rate performance and satisfaction in these areas pre- and post-intervention. The aphasia-friendly Canadian Occupational Performance Measure will allow greater inclusion for people with aphasia in goal-setting and measuring the outcome of intervention, in keeping with client-centred practice.
