Abstract

To protect the copyright of satellite remote sensing images, this paper applies image degradation and restoration methods to the embedding and extraction of watermarks, based on the characteristics of image degradation caused by satellite imaging, and designs a watermarking algorithm based on motion blur degradation/restoration, assuming that the degradation parameters of the imaging equipment are known. The digital watermarking signal is generated using a chaotic sequence, embedded based on the motion blur degradation model, and extracted by a combination of inverse and Wiener filtering. The algorithm is verified by experimental simulations, which show that the proposed watermarking scheme has excellent imperceptibility and robustness.
