Remote criminal justice through the prism of foreign experience

Abstract

In the context of the digital development of society, the introduction of digital technologies into the sphere of criminal justice is becoming increasingly relevant. As a result of the lockdown, new opportunities have been opened up for the remote procedure of judicial proceedings in criminal cases. The adoption of various technologies, especially video, has accelerated in justice systems in many countries. The world community is open to the digital transformation of justice. The system of justice and criminal justice in many states may undergo fundamental changes under the influence of global digitalization. This article is devoted to the study of the practice of administering justice in criminal cases during the coronavirus pandemic, the views of foreign scientists regarding alternative forms of court hearings.
