Abstract

After appearing in the world history in the Cenral Asia, the Turkish nation has always been keen on living independent. And they have known that the way in which they can live independent pass through being a good soldier. Altough today it is always spoken about democracy, the events which we live today clearly shows that the military power which backed by high-technology has the power to change the map of the world. The attitude of the USA towards Iraq is a good example of this argument. When we examine the document which belogs to a soldier who died before going back to his home town after arriving in Samsun port of call, we can see that on the ground of independencey of a nation lays its holding of its army above every thing. The historical documents tell us a lot of things. Since, the history is not only a science of saying something about past but also a science of throwing light on the future by giving lessons. So, the most benefical side of the history is its this side. According to document which we mantioned above all the operations which had been done to the dead soldier was done by the State. His belongins had been kept to deliver to his family. This document shows what that day’s soldier had when they sending back to their home-town. These things were rain-cot, short zip-up jacket, shirt, helmet, shoes, mess-tin, belt... These belongins of a soldier clearly show that the soldiers of that time had a quite number of things. This proves that the Turkish people always hold their soldier above everthing even when they are so poor. We never leave aside the reminiscences of this significant document. It is the duty of being a good Turkish citizen and a good Turkish Muslim to abstain every kinds of words and actions which can disturp and worry the Turkish army. Everybods can make mistake. But the important thing is to turn to the right without insisting on the error. Since insisting on the error is a kind of primitiveness. But it is not our duty to announce our every citizen who make error as quilty and useless one. Since this kind of attitude can can lessen our power. Even if you can not support a political party with you vote or you can have difficulty to adopt its policy you should give it the possibility to work as a goverment when it come to power. The authorities of the goverment, too, should do what is right without insisting on the error and be very carefull in some sensitive issue not lead to unreliability and disorder. It is an absolute necessity for Turkish people to hold the Turkish ary above everthing in order to keep their independent position for ever. The totality of the Turkish nation provides the power through which the Turkihs army with the Turkish goverment can achieve the objectives of geat Ataturk and to resist every kind of attacks of the enemies. Since it is Turkish soldiers who showed and still shows the power of the Turkish nation to the world. All of us must believe and rely on the power of Turkish army and act in the light of this fact. In conclusion, just as one word is enough for those who wants to understand, this document tells to many things those who want to understand
