Abstract

The study tries to present the development of generical concepts and will especially explore the results which came up by the important change between taxonomic order and the temporalisation of knowledge in the 18th century. In difference to traditional definitions of genres it refuses to enrich genre-theories by a further variant, but claims a research-program which investigates the function of those theories to the discourse of literacy science. Finally the study proposes to substitute genres by alternative models.
