Abstract

Linear absorption and emission spectroscopy of a range of new phenyl ketone derivatives were determined. Two-photon absorption properties have been detected by Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser tuning from 720 nm to 880 nm at intervals of 20 nm. Remarkable electron donor-acceptor group effects on the optical properties of the derivatives were observed. Keywords: Electron donor-acceptor effect, molecular geometry optimization, phenyl ketone derivatives, two-photon absorption, absorption, sapphire, wavelength, nano-microfabrication, acetate, phenylene
