Abstract

In the paper [10] a derivation of the C-F-R inequality is given when the parameter space is completely arbitrary. The procedure is conveninent for handling both the regular case and the case of non-homogeneous set of densities; after general considerations the mentioned paper deals with the nonregular case only. The aim of the present paper is to point out that the method used in the mentioned work allows a derivation of the classical C-F-R inequality under simpler conditions, imposed by the classical authors [2,4,5,8] or appeared in the textbooks [Csee eg.9.]. -Some remarks are made for the information quantity occuring in the variance bound too.
