Abstract

This paper presents a study of chronic heroin addicts undergoing a religious drug rehabilitation programme in Hong Kong. The programme aims at s elf-transformation through religious conversion. It challenges addiction workers in a number of ways, particularly through its care delivery model and the involvement of the spiritual dimension in people's lives.
