Abstract

While the major cases involving religion in public schools were decid ed decades ago, disputes still arise over interpretations of the First Amendment's establishment clause. One current battleground is the high school graduation ceremony. Until the Supreme Court has an opportunity to revisit the issue, school administrators must stay informed and be sensitive to the issue of religion in the public schools.
