Abstract

This paper was adapted by Professor Katz from an address he delivered before the Purdue Conference on Religion and Education in October, 1963, and has been brought up to date in a postscript by the author. Professor Katz treats the newly significant neutrality principle in U. S. Supreme Court cases dealing with religion and education. He is professor of law at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison.
