Abstract
AbstractThe purpose of ‘Religion at Ugarit’ is to present an overview of the Canaanite religion of the Ugaritic metropolis in accordance with its textual sources and archaeological data. Special attention will be paid in this article to the state of the official Ugaritic religion as reflected by the status of the different gods in the Ugaritic pantheon and their theological universe, and to the recent discussion concerning religion in daily life as expressed in the epic and ritual genres.
