Abstract

This article is an attempt to describe Papal Council Iustitia et Pax activities through the concept of human capital, which is one of the most important factors of economic growth and development. Simultaneously, the issue has been explored in scholarly literature. Human capital consists largely of several factors like a knowledge, talent, entrepreneurship and health possessed by a person. Therefore, it can be assumed that at least certain religious institutions are capable of creating human capital. Papal Council Iustitia et Pax, which was active between 1967–2017, is one of them.
