Abstract
The city of Abha, in south west Saudi Arabia, has a new reservoir on top of a hill which releases water down to a main reservoir 6 km away. Problems with dangerous pressure differentials threatened to disrupt the water supply until a Canadian manufacturer of automatic control valves came up with a solution.
