Abstract
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode, Impact and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA) and Failure Report Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) are widely used to conduct reliability analysis in different areas. Although each technology is fully developed, it can works better by combination using, such as the combination using two technologies called 2F technology, the combination using three technologies called 3F technology, and the combination using four technologies called 4F technology. Thus, this paper provides a brief review of the FHA, FTA, FEMCA and FRACAS from aspects of their classification and characteristics, and expounding its development of the 2F, 3F and 4F. At last, the future directions of 4F are discussed.
