Abstract
In the present paper we use a random search technique for finding the global minima of constrained non-linear optimization problems to solve the reliability optimization problem of complex systems. In the problem it is desired to maximize the reliability function of the system at the minimum possible cost. The effectiveness of the proposed random search technique of global optimization in solving optimal reliability problems of complex systems is also discussed.
