Abstract

Advancements in energy Internet technology have brought about stricter requirements for reliable energy supply to multi-energy integrated coupling systems. Diversified energy storage systems facilitate reliable operation; different energy storage configuration schemes and operating strategies directly affect the reliability of the system’s energy supply. This manuscript discussed several different operational strategies for energy storage devices in the multi-energy microgrid system. By combining the FMEA method and Monte Carlo simulations, a novel reliability evaluation method was proposed which incorporated multi-energy complementarity. The applicability of the proposed method was validated by a series of real-case calculations on a typical multi-energy microgrid.
